Sheena is in the process of completing her Masters of Art in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelors of Midwifery from New Zealand and worked as Registered Midwife in both New Zealand and BC for the past decade.
Having worked with individuals and families through the transitions of pregnancy and childbirth, she has seen people discover they have more strength than they thought they had and find new perspectives and connections to themselves and others. The process is similar to the inward journey that counselling invites us to walk.
My practice is rooted in a trauma informed, client centered and collaborative approach. I aim to create a safe and compassionate space, where you will feel seen and heard, a place where you will find and/or nurture their own inner strength and resilience.
I honour the courage it can take to reach out for support and will meet you wherever you are in your journey.
I am looking forward to working with individuals, couples, families and children aged 10 and over.
