Nancy graduated as an occupational therapist in 2003 at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
After completing a year of community service in a rural community, she started working as a pediatric therapist while completing her sensory integration training through the South African Institute of Sensory Integration (SAISI). She worked in private practice for almost ten years during which she gained experience in working with children with sensory processing difficulties, developmental delays, learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, OCD, and various other childhood challenges. In 2014, Nancy and her family immigrated to Canada and they have been in living in beautiful qathet / Powell River ever since. Nancy loves being in the trails or on the beach with her husband and three children, visiting with her parents or friends, and is a fervent supporter of local artists and businesses. She is passionate about sensory integration therapy and loves seeing children thrive with the necessary support.
